Style of Photography
Our style of wedding
photography can be described as artistic real-life documentary photography–
we tell the story of your wedding, beautifully and truthfully.
We start photographing the bride while she is being made up. Lourens often
slips away to photograph the groom during his preparations. The time we
spend photographing the bride before the wedding, allows us to settle into a
rhythm with the bride. By the time she is dressed, the bride is used to
being photographed by us, which is one of the reasons why our brides are so
natural, spontaneous and beautiful.
During the ceremony we are respectful of the proceedings and the solemnity
of the occasion. We will therefore never be distracting to you or your
guests. The family photographs are easily handled as Mariki has a way of
getting the most stubborn and unwilling subject to smile while Lourens can
concentrate on photographing.
The time we spend alone with the bride and groom after the wedding ceremony
is relaxed and playful. The aim of this photo session is to create beautiful
images of the bride and groom in a natural way. Very often we hear: "We
really enjoyed working with you - you made it very special for us". No
wonder our photography reflect so much love and joy!
The reception is handled as we would handle any corporate function. We
anticipate events before they happen and that's why very little escapes us.
The bottom line is: We love doing what we do!
